Board President – Sh. Nomaan Baig

Shaykh Nomaan is the founder and director of the Institute of Knowledge (IOK). After memorizing the Quran at 13, he pursued Islamic studies at Jamia Binoria in Karachi, graduating with top honors and multiple Ijaazaat. He also earned equivalent MA degrees from the University of Sindh. Upon returning to the US, he worked in IT and business consulting at UCLA and Deloitte & Touche. Leaving his professional career, he dedicated himself to establishing IOK, a unique institution combining academic education with higher Islamic learning, while also actively supporting education, social welfare, and relief and development projects.

Board Secretary – Masood Khan Esq.

Masood has practiced law in California for over 20 years counseling clients in business, corporate, nonprofit and estate planning matters. He has broad experience advising nonprofits in governance and structuring and currently serves on the boards of a number of nonprofits serving the Muslim community.

Board Treasurer – Irfan Parekh

A lifelong resident of Southern California, Irfan currently manages his family’s real estate investments, owns a business, and serves as a utility consultant. In his personal life, Irfan enjoys spending quality time with his wife and three sons, and is dedicated to giving back to the local community. He is blessed with one of his children having completed the memorization of the Quran. Through his efforts, Irfan aims to support the less fortunate and create opportunities for educational advancement, empowering the next generation.
